A NEW PILATES REFORMER BRAND
Antonia from Gummi came to KYAK at the very start of her new business, she described how she wanted to bring colour and fun to the world of Pilates Reformer socks.
Although we were aware of Reformer Pilates and its increasing popularity we didn’t know how crucial it is to have socks that grip the equipment. Performance is key of course but so is comfort and not forgetting style – you need to look good and feel confident when performing the ‘mermaid’ stretch!
The name Gummi was chosen to reflect the fun nature of the brand and the colours that were being developed for the actual socks. All the socks have sweet inspired names which we used as the inspiration developing a number of initial concepts that were eventually refined to one final solution.

CREATING BRAND GUIDELINES
After the initial brand work was approved and finalised, we summarised everything into a brand guideline document and provided Antonia with all the file types she will need from digital versions to vector graphics suitable for scaling at any size.

DEVELOPING THE GUMMI BRAND
Of course a brand is more than just a logo and some colours, it needs personality injected into a range of applications. From a pattern suitable for use on packaging to fun lines of copy developed by our copywriter Andrew, the brand is really starting to come to life!

We developed a range of phrases and sayings to be used across all areas of the brand. A wry take on pilates together with references to the product benefits and features, the copy creates the personality that will help the products stand out from the competition and get noticed by potential customers.

We created a number of concepts designed for publication on social media channels. From lifestyle imagery to just lines of copy, the eventual plan is to develop a range of graphics that demonstrate variety and brand cohesion and ultimately peak interest.
