Developing a logo and website for Twisted 10k
The Twisted 10k was a charitable endeavour which saw Mark Booth undertake a considerable number of events on foot and by bike.
During 2021 he aimed to complete 10,000km and raise £10k for four great charities (Alzheimer’s UK, Macmillan Cancer Research, Help for Heroes and SSAFA – The Armed Forces Charity). Mark isn’t an ultra endurance or even a professional athlete but has completed a number of considerable challenges in the past. However even he admitted it was going to push him to his limits like never before, just reading the list of events and the distances involved brought us out in a cold sweat!!
We helped Mark develop his logo from the concept he produced using Canva, into a version that’s a little more slick and flexible and which helped to explain the challenge better. Here’s a before and after of the two versions…
Website design & build
We used a WordPress template to create the Twisted 10k website for speed and efficiency. The primary objective was to encourage donations to the various charities but the site also had to introduce the concept of the Twisted 10k, explain who Mark is and why he was undertaking the challenge and also provide information on the four chosen charities. It was also important that Mark could add new blog posts quickly and easily.
The challenge is now finished and the website no longer live but we delivered a great looking site that delivered all of Mark’s requirements.
Branded clothing
Finally, we introduced Twisted 10k to a number of our suppliers and contacts including Craft sportswear, who very kindly sent him some kit to help with his training. The logo worked particularly well in this context and help Mark brand himself while out and about training!
